Artificial intelligence is being used to interface with customers on ecommerce sites, by being able to predict their behavior from their past buying patterns on the same site, in addition to informing customer service agents how to service inquiries, and even facilitate sales.
With AI enabled within an ecommerce website merchants are able to display recommended products uniquely suited to shoppers based on the past history of purchases or based on the reviews received on a particular products, in addition to letting people search for products using conversational language or images, as though they were interacting with a human being on the other side of the network.
