A customer group is sort of a label that you can assign to customers and thus grouping them under certain criteria. Customer groups can be used, specifically, to send promotions and newsletters to a group of customers.
The associated demo will explain how customer groups can help merchants reach out to specific category of customers with a message or promotion unique to their line of business. Targeting segmented customers, using eComchain's Customer Group feature, increases the customer visits to the site thus increasing the revenue specially when merchants have unique promotions with couple codes that can be used on the online store. In the world of search not all words or phrases are significant to be shown on the top of the result list.
Although finding the correct product for any given search is the critical step to provide a great user experience, ordering the search results to get the best matches on the top is the key step to make sure the user gets the most accurate result. Using eComchain's Artificial Intelligence Engine, merchants have the flexibility to add synonyms of products and have the ability to boost products based on various business criteria.
Relevancy is the feature in eComchain that sorts the search results from high to low relevancy scores. There are some factors which influence the decision making of the relevancy scores - term frequency, inverse document frequency, term boosts and others that's handled internally by the Artificial Intelligence engine of eComchain.
Merchants can also boost products to show up higher in the Catalog, based on the frequency of purchase for those products or as special promotions.

Most schools have already had their graduation ceremonies for this past school year. However, those who are off to college have made their choice of school and already made a down payment for this Fall. And soon, everyone will be thinking about buying supplies for Back to School.
I remember long ago, the four of us kids would pile into the family station wagon and head off to the shopping mall to buy our clothes for back to school. Our favorite department store had all of the clothing, shoes and accessory options to last an entire school year.
New jeans were my favorite in my younger years. The fabric was so stiff that you could not bend your legs and you looked like a robot walking around. And then we would go from one end of the mall to the other to see if we were getting the best price!
But when it was all said and done, we all had shopping bags stuffed to the brim and schlepped them to the across a packed parking lot to get to the family station wagon.
It was not over yet! It was off to other stores to secure pencils, pens, glue, three ring notebooks and four function calculators (the fancy ones had memory!).
No secret that the world has changed. Any of these items are readily available by googling or simply searching that website named after a famous river! No more driving to the mall, fighting traffic, pushing and shoving through the crowds when you can shop at home in your pajamas.
Not only that…but we can sharpen our pencils and save even more because we can comparison ship on line to get the lowest possible price for your favorite national brand name. No wonder 79 percent of U.S. consumers now shop on the web or their phone, up from just 22 percent back in 2000!
This Back to School, get your school supplies on line and give yourself an “A” for smart shopping!
