Unique B2B e-Commerce Features
1. Configurator:
B2B Customers now have the unique ability to configure their products and SKUs more efficiently. This interface is seamlessly integrated with Oracle EBS as the backend ERP system from where direct calls are made to get the real time pricing for various products and their SKUs based on how the customer configures them using the configurator dropdown values. The volume, basket and other bulk level discount groups associated with these products are also updated real time based on the values fetched from the backend ERP.
2. Customer Service Rep Role (CSR)
This feature enables business administrators to add the customer sales representatives to customer accounts so that they can place orders on behalf of the assigned customers using the switch account feature. This feature is very useful to support those customers who don’t have a way to get to their computers or who are not able to complete their orders for some reason or who do have an appropriate login IDs to place an order. Customers can also interact with the CSRs using the Chat feature available on the site.
3. Print Order Feature
Customers can now print their shopping cart orders by exporting the product items and its details to a PDF document using the “Print Cart” button. This is very helpful for the B2B customers who desire to have a physical copy of a certain set of items from the Product Catalog pertaining specifically to them.
4. Complex Shipping methods
Customers can now choose from the various shipping methods like the ‘Ship to DC’, ‘Plant Direct’ and ‘Pick Up’ which will create different types of orders in the backend ERP (Oracle EBS). When the customers choose any of these shipping methods, different orders with various types are created in the backend ERP system. They also benefit from the seamless integration with the UPS shipping carrier by choosing various shipping methods that UPS offers. Customers get their shipping charges on the site based on the weights and the shipping address for the item using the specific shipping account of UPS.
5. Multi-line Shipping address
B2B customers on eComchain now have the unique ability to enter multiple shipping addresses for each of the product line items with their corresponding franchisee numbers and store numbers to which the item needs to be shipped to. This includes varied price filter selections for the appropriate product bundles and sub-categories along with the real-time form validations for the Franchisee and store number combinations.
6. Single Page Checkout
All the B2B customers can now benefit from having just two clicks for placing an order after adding the appropriate items to the shopping cart. The components of Shipping / Billing and Payments are all combined into one single page for ease of use and review during the checkout process. This feature can be turned off or on from the admin dashboard depending on the business requirements at any given point in time.
7. Location based pricing adjustments
This is very useful for the B2B customer accounts that are spread across different regions of North America, both US and Canada. Price adjustments in terms of a percentage value or an absolute value can be made specific to a product (or a particular SKU of a product) or to a specific category or sub-category of products.
8. Product Personalization
Customers using eComchain will now have the provision to include different custom background art and monogram images on their products (and SKUs) through this advanced product customization feature. This includes the capability to include various color accessories along with the products for purchase. The Cart information shows all the various customizations added to the product so that the customers can cross verify their exact specification result before the order checkout process.
9. Product bulk upload on the storefront
Customer sales representatives now have the provision to directly upload a single zip file package consisting of various product XML files generated from web-services. This zip file once uploaded to the website extracts all the necessary product details and validates the items against the backend ERP system to fetch the price related to those items. Once this validation performs successfully, all the products which are uploaded in bulk are ready for cart checkout.
10. PDF parsing for a Purchase Order
This is a unique provision for the B2B customers to raise a purchase order on the storefront by uploading a PDF file. The automated file system on the platform parses through the various product line items and its details on the PDF to create the Shopping Cart. This sends an email attachment to the site-administrator to process the required purchase order.
