A unique eCommerce punchout integration
A punchout puts an online store inside of a B2B customer’s e-procurement system.
It allows customer’s employees to access and shop your store without leaving their internal systems. eComchain’s new integration with Greenwing Technology enables suppliers to reach entities that include the larger buying groups for B2B e-commerce. Punchout orders are produced online in a paperless manner for online procurement (e-procurement) through a buyer’s purchasing application (Ariba, Coupa, PeopleSoft, Oracle etc.)
The integration between eComchain and Greenwing Technology demonstrates a complete flow of data between the e-procurement system Coupa to punchout and then finally over to Coupa. The final step is to generate a purchase order (PO).
A Punchout catalog aids in reducing purchasing errors within a buyer organization. It also makes purchasing fast, and there isn’t much work that needs to be done before you get a product from a verified vendor. Productivity is also increased, and the procurement processes are more easily managed.
The first step is for the user to log into Coupa and then navigate over to the eComchain storefront by selecting the required store. At this point, if the user’s account does not already exist on the eComchain storefront, it will automatically become registered, and the user is directly logged in.
The user then navigates the product catalog’s categories to find the required product which they want to punchout. Once the product is added to the cart from the product detail page, the storefront user navigates to the cart and clicks on the ‘Punchout’ button to switch over to the Coupa e-Procurement system. At this point, the eComchain Cart information has been directly transferred over to Coupa and is in sync with the e-procurement system
The user can then proceed through the regular checkout process and order placement on Coupa’s dashboard.
This end-to-end Punchout ecommerce solution enhances the structured relation between an e-procurement system of the buyer or ERP and the storefront of the vendor.
