Implementing Microservices
Let’s take a quick look at the differences between Microservices and Headless eCommerce.
Microservices is an option for enterprise customers who already have matured online presence with large amount of content that would only be requiring a commerce microservice delivered via API. This online presence could be powered by a content-rich platform such as WordPress, Drupal and another platform of choice, as the presentation layer, while the backend eCommerce engine would be powered by eComchain.
Headless commerce is useful for small to mid-sized companies providing the nimbleness to move and grow fast by enabling teams to work within their existing ecosystem, as not the headless commerce is not entirely decoupled from the
presentation layer. Businesses manage logistics and commerce in the backend, using eComchain, while the presentation layer can be managed by CMS platforms. Additionally it also allows marketers to better couple content with eComchain, a much better alternative to moving content to a static ecommerce site, and leaving SEO optimized content untouched.
This blog would be 2 in 5 articles around Microservices as a solution, hosted by eComchain. To be continued.
